Wedding: The Fennes – Rebecca & Josh

Rebecca and Josh’s wedding was the day the sun conquered the clouds, which seems apt somehow. We were at Fennes estate in Essex, with the Huppah (the wedding canopy traditional at a Jewish ceremony, which symbolises the new home built by the couple as they become husband and wife) set up in the gardens. And then the sky opened. And it poured. And it poured some more.
I don’t know if being a photographer has made me ultra-sensitive to shifts in light (or if it was just DarkSky on my iPhone), but I had a feeling we’d be in luck and sure enough, after a slight delay, the torrent stopped and Rebecca walked down the aisle when stormy clouds were parting on a bright blue sky. Fantastic! (And from a photographic point of view, better than a simple sunny day! I just wish Rebecca hadn’t had to suffer the stress beforehand!)
That was the signal for an amazing day, full of crazy dancing and lovely touches. The ring bearer was spared formality and absolutely loved being designated ‘Ring Security” through the message on his T-shirt! And when the rain made a reappearance, Rebecca, Josh and I headed outside to celebrate with some epic shots.

Veneue – The Fennes, Boking
Dress – Pronovias
Hair – Galliano (friend) and make-up by a friend
Flowers – Miri Moses

Thanks for all the fun guys. More adventures soon 😀
Alex
